Further Faster 2017 is a
two-day conference for
church leaders and teams.
Further Faster 2017 is a two-day conference for church leaders and teams passionate about healthy church growth. Further Faster 2017 is modeled on North Point Community Church’s Drive Conference, which regularly gathers thousands of leaders from around the world.
Further Faster 2017 is for leaders who are continually adapting to a changing ministry context, seeking to embrace opportunities and address challenges in innovative ways.
Over our two days together you will have opportunity to hear from three experienced North Point senior leaders and practitioners as they share transferable principles for churches of any size passionate about the Great Commission. You will learn principles on how best to lead volunteers and develop and maintain a healthy leadership culture, amongst many other topics. There will be break out sessions to dig deeper into particular subjects, as well as opportunities for your specific questions to be addressed by the North Point team.
We are also excited that exclusive leadership teaching from Andy Stanley will also feature via video at Further Faster 2017. Together we will network, worship, learn, grow and have a lot of fun with hundreds of leaders from across Australia and New Zealand.
Guest Speaker Evan McLaughlin
For the last 13 years, Evan has helped to create irresistible environments where people experience the local church for the first time. When North Point started, we said it like this–Atlanta doesn’t need another church, Atlanta needs a church where “unchurched” people love to attend. That became our vision and 20+ years later, we are still creating churches where “unchurched” people love to attend.
As the Director of Service Programming, Evan oversees and leads all aspects of the Sunday experience for over 20,000 adults. This includes creatively program, logistically execute and vigorously evaluate over 15 live environments and a live broadcast stream to an additional 15,000 adults–weekly. Additionally, Evan is the Multi-Site Director of Service Programming, leading and managing the programming process for North Point’s media division and all six local campuses.
Prior to leading the Sunday worship experience teams, Evan was the Director of Leader Training and Resources.
In his role, Evan oversaw the strategies and practices for training and developing our over 8,000 adult small group leaders. In the early days, North Point’s growth outpaced our systems. As a former Information Systems Manager with UPS in Atlanta, Evan brought a systems lens that helped create baseline infrastructure elements to help sustain our growing leadership base.
Additionally, Evan has served as the Director of Stewardship and Director of Life Lessons Over Lunch for North Point.
A graduate of the University of Georgia, Evan married his college sweetheart in 1997 and will soon celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary. They have four children: Keller, Hynds, Miller, and Morgan.
Guest Speaker Casey Ross
Casey has over 20 years of ministry experience. He has worked in a variety of different types of churches ranging in attendance from 100 to 20,000. In those churches, he has led in roles from Student Ministry to Family Ministry to Lead Pastoring to Operations.
In 2004, Casey helped plant a church in South Carolina that became a Strategic Partner of North Point. After four short years, he gained the rare experience of leading the church to close in a healthy way.
In 2008, he joined the staff of Browns Bridge Church, one of the six local churches of North Point Ministries. At Browns Bridge he was the Director of Ministry Services. The role is as general as the title sounds. Basically if something does not fit into Family Ministry, Groups, or Service Programming it can fit into Ministry Services. At Browns Bridge, he led ministry areas such as Guest Services, Facilities, Care, and Baptism.
He also oversaw many of the administrative areas and special projects of the church.
Before joining the staff of North Point Community Church in 2014, Casey was a consultant for North Point Partners. Currently, he is the Director of Ministry Services at North Point. This role is similar to the role he had at Browns Bridge.
When he has time, he enjoys writing for some North Point projects and for his blog www.bulletpointdad.com.
A graduate of Presbyterian College, Casey married his high school sweetheart, and they have been married for 21 years. They have three children: Bennett, Canon, and Teague.
Guest Speaker Lane Jones
Lane Jones has over 30 years of ministry experience and is as excited as ever about the mission of the local church. He is one of the co-founders of North Point Ministries (NPM) in Alpharetta, Georgia. Beginning as North Point Community Church, NPM has grown to six local churches that average approximately 50,000 people in attendance each week.
In 2006, Lane led the team that planted Browns Bridge Community Church in Cumming, Georgia, which was NPM’s third local church. He currently serves as the Director of North Point Partners overseeing the development of a network of churches that literally reaches around the world.
Through this network NPM partners with church leaders in creating churches unchurched people love to attend in their community.
Lane is the co-author of Seven Practices of Effective Ministry and Communicating for a Change and is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary. He also serves as host of the Andy Stanley Leadership Podcast.
He is a native of Atlanta, Georgia where he lives with his wife Traci. They have three grown children who are all active in ministry.
